Jennifer Martin began performing the moment she was born. She produced shows for every family gathering and appeared in every school program from kindergarten through high school. Influenced by the music of Ian and Sylvia, Bob Dylan and John Stewart, she began her professional musical career at the famous Gerde’s Folk City in Greenwich Village while a student at Columbia University.

With an amazing ability to get bar audiences stop and listen, she became one-half of a folk duo performing at colleges and universities throughout the country before moving to Canada to lead a successful country band. Upon returning to the USA, she has bewitched audiences with her voice and bass-playing, performing jazz, standards, country, and pop.

Along with her CD of jazzy and uptempo, yet rarely heard, standards like “Bad News” and “It Might as Well Be Spring,” she has built a loyal following through appearances at spots such as Soho, Siena, and The Kitchen Café.
